GIMP image editor tutorials

You need a player that will work with a .ogg file in the theora codec. If this sounds latin to you and the video won't play, click HERE and install VLC if you are on windows. Linux users should already have no problem with ogg. If you are running a current linux distro you should have gimp installed already. Gimp for windows can downloaded for free from the link in column on the right of this page

The tools are covered briefly so I suggest that you practice with them a bunch after watching to get a great understanding. Once you watch this video you have completed your first step in becoming a GIMP pro!

This should give you a good understanding of how to get started on your own creation and a basis of what to work off of. I assume you already have a good understanding of GIMP and most of the tools as I work a little faster in the tutorial. I cover making another logo. This time i use the path tool to make and object and do a little more text. I show how I use a rough draft drawing as my background to act as a guide. The concepts apply to logos, banners, and basic web graphics. It will give you a good example of how to get an idea from a paper sketch to the web.

Make sure you have the 2.60 patch from here:
ET_Patch_2_60.exe -windows version
et-linux-2.60-update.x86.run -linux version (right click and save link as file)

Then after you install 2.60 first install 2.60b (make SURE you install 2.60 first)
et260bwin32.zip -windows version
et2.60blinux.zip -linux version

to install this patch copy the files over the files in your enemy territory/etmain folder


If you still have problems with incorrect version errors use this nifty patch selector:
patchselecto_260b.zip -windows only

Make sure you have ET Pro 3.2.6 to log on to pro servers:

etpro-3_2_6.pk3

Put this in your enemy territory/etpro folder or make a etpro folder inside the ET directory and put it there
